ILA 2008: Galley insert that Turns up the heat

Posted by admin on May 29, 2008

A new piece of equipment that could enhance on board catering, reduce health risks and save space has been unveiled at ILA.

BW is launching the A-LogEqu an eco-friendly galley insert designed to store hot or cold water in a food-safe plastic bag with a tab and a hose inside a firm corrugated box with a plastic handle.

“Hot water machines and coffee machines can use up a lot of power and space” says inventor Hubert Walter.

“They also get lime-scale in the pipes, which is un-hygienic and potentially be unhealthy. The Bag-in-Pack is cable-free, recyclable, insulated box, which can hold 12 litres of water, hot or cold, and keep to the required temperature for 15 hours.”
