ILA 2008: Galley insert that Turns up the heat
Posted by admin on May 29, 2008A new piece of equipment that could enhance on board catering, reduce health risks and save space has been unveiled at ILA.
BW is launching the A-LogEqu an eco-friendly galley insert designed to store hot or cold water in a food-safe plastic bag with a tab and a hose inside a firm corrugated box with a plastic handle.
“Hot water machines and coffee machines can use up a lot of power and space” says inventor Hubert Walter.
“They also get lime-scale in the pipes, which is un-hygienic and potentially be unhealthy. The Bag-in-Pack is cable-free, recyclable, insulated box, which can hold 12 litres of water, hot or cold, and keep to the required temperature for 15 hours.”
