Qantas’ first A380 seats on sale

Seats went on sale today for Qantas’ Airbus A380 route from Los Angeles to Melbourne, Australia. The airline’s first super-jumbo will begin service on 20 October with two bi-weekly direct flights from LA to Melbourne.

Once it takes delivery of a second A380 in November, Qantas then plans to introduce the aircraft on the LA-Sydney route with three non-stop flights a week.

Qantas will be the third airline to operate Airbus’ super-jumbo – Singapore Airlines is the first, and Emirates will begin service between New York and Dubai on October 1.
